Lecture by Miha Hadla: On the Laws of Weather Phenomena and Weather Forecasting

On the occasion of World Earth Day and the accompanying exhibition Prof. Ferdinand Seidl. 170th Anniversary of His Birth, Dolenjski muzej Novo mesto, in cooperation with the Slovensko meteorološko društvo, invites you to a lecture titled “On the Laws of Weather Phenomena and Weather Forecasting”.
The lecture will take place on Wednesday, 22 April 2026, at 6:00 p.m. in the lecture hall of the Dolenjski Museum Novo mesto. The speaker will be Miha Hadl.
The accompanying exhibition dedicated to the Novo mesto-born natural scientist Ferdinand Seidl offers insight into his life and work. Seidl established himself as a geologist, seismologist, and meteorologist, and also worked in the fields of botany, nature conservation, and sociology. This lecture will focus on his contribution to meteorology, as he laid the foundations of modern meteorology and climatology in Slovenia.
The lecturer, Miha Hadl, is a university graduate engineer of meteorology and physics. He has been employed as a physics teacher at the Novo mesto Grammar School since 1982 and is a member of the Slovene Meteorological Society. In his free time, he is also active in photography.
