Lecture: Dr Maja Kolar – Healthy Soil for Food Production and the Use of Chromatography

The Miran Jarc Library Novo mesto, together with the Biodynamic Association Ajda Dolenjska, invites you to a lecture by Maja Kolar titled Healthy Soil for Food Production and the Use of Chromatography, which will take place on Wednesday, 11 March 2026, at 5:00 pm in the Events Atrium.

Vital and healthy soil forms the fundamental basis for producing high-quality food for human consumption. The lecture will present key steps that help achieve this goal. Special attention will be given to the method of chromatography, which is used within the biodynamic approach to effectively evaluate and assess soil quality.

Dr Maja Kolar holds a doctorate in agronomy and is a qualified lecturer in the field of organic food production at the Biotechnical Centre Naklo. She is also co-president of the Demeter International Biodynamic Federation, which certifies biodynamic producers operating under the Demeter label.

Based on her own life experience, she devoted herself to organic farming. In recent years she has focused particularly on preserving and propagating traditional organic seeds. She works as the professional coordinator of Semenjalnica, an ecological seed bank. She also participates in various projects in Slovenia and abroad related to organic and biodynamic education and advisory work. Dr Kolar is an engaging lecturer with extensive knowledge of Anthroposophy and biodynamic food production, which she actively tests in practice and passionately shares.

The lecture will be held in Slovene.
