Open Days: National House
The Municipality of Novo Mesto and Novo Mesto Public Institute invite visitors to the Open Days of the renovated National House (Narodni dom), taking place on Friday, 16 October and Saturday, 17 October 2026.
The National House, the first of its kind in Slovenia, has been an important centre of cultural life in Novo Mesto since it opened in 1875. Following its renovation, the building has been given a new look, while Novo Mesto Public Institute is bringing it back to life with new programmes and activities.
As part of the guided tours, visitors will have the opportunity to explore the renovated National House, learn about its rich history and significance, and discover more about its new appearance and role following the renovation. The guided tour will take visitors through the building and its spaces, which form an important part of Novo Mesto’s cultural heritage.
Advance registration is required by Tuesday, 13 October 2026, via the link.
