Sports Personality of the Year 2025
You are cordially invited to the traditional Sports Personality of the Year ceremony of the City Municipality of Novo mesto, which will take place on Tuesday, 17th February 2026, at 6:00 p.m. at the Janez Trdina Cultural Centre. The event is intended for all male and female athletes who compete within sports clubs based in the City Municipality of Novo mesto.
In addition to presenting the most prestigious awards for Best Sportsman, Best Sportswoman, and Most Successful Team of the Year, the ceremony will also include the Mayor’s Awards, presented to athletes and teams who became national champions in the past year or represented Slovenia in cadet, junior, or senior national teams. Municipal awards and Bloudek Badges will be presented to sports officials in recognition of their long-standing contribution to sport. We will also honour the top three teams in the women’s, men’s, and overall standings of the Workers’ Sports Games 2025.
The event will be conducted in Slovenian.
