An experience of winemaking tradition at a modern winery.
The Colnar Wine Cellar in Lešnica, a village between Otočec and Novo Mesto, offers visitors an authentic wine experience in a modern and welcoming setting. Built in 2022, the winery was designed with sustainability in mind: all production residues are carefully reused – grape seeds are processed into oil and flour, and the vineyards are cultivated using natural fertilisers. Not only that, but some of the winery’s energy needs are covered by its own solar power plant.
Visitors can take part in guided tastings and sample a variety of wines, including the indigenous Cviček PTP, Welschriesling, Blaufränkisch, rosés and sparkling wines. The wine experience is made even more authentic by tastings of home-made local delicacies, which perfectly complement the wine selection.
The winery is open to visitors during the week. Advance booking is recommended for groups and for specific visiting times.
